Caves are not inherently inaccessible. Many show caves have invested in lifts, paved routes and electric trains specifically to ensure wheelchair users and visitors with limited mobility can reach the most spectacular chambers.

Booking tips
Always call ahead; even accessible-rated caves may have constraints on power chairs (size limits in lifts), companion requirements, or restricted hours. Many caves offer free or discounted entry for companions of disabled visitors.
What "accessible" actually means
Verify lift dimensions, path widths, surface (paved vs gravel), gradient, and toilet access at the visitor centre. Some caves described as "accessible" still have 15-cm thresholds or 1:10 ramps that may not suit all users.
